Magnetic Card Reader Cleaning Card

Our mainstream card, this cleaning card can be used in any type of magnetic card reader, including push-in, swipe and motorised systems. We supply the card mostly contained in a sachet and pre-moistened with a range of cleaning solvents, including isopropanol, ethanol, aliphatic hydrocarbons and even a non-flammable water based cleaning solution. The card is inserted in the reader like a regular card, and then simply disposed of.

We manufacture two types of this card. For use in extremely heavy duty environments, or when non-flammable solvents are required, we recommend our premium card, manufactured from high grade non-woven material and polyester. For all other requirements, our hybrid card provides an cost-effective solution to your reader cleaning needs.

Encoded Magnetic Card Reader Cleaning Card

Some card readers are equipped with a security shutter which checks for the presence of a magnetic stripe on the card being inserted. Standard cleaning cards cannot be inserted in these readers, and thus we manufacture a cleaning card which features short pieces of encoded magnetic tape to fool the reader into accepting the cleaning card.

There are also some card readers which require the cleaning card to have a magnetic stripe containing some specific encoded information. This information is used to trigger the reader into a cleaning cycle, ensuring the best possible cleaning. Your equipment manufacturer will tell you if this is the case with your reader.

Thermal Printer Cleaning Cards

Thermal printers use high density high temperature electrodes to 'burn' transfer paper. Oxides and other contaminants build up on the print head over a period of time, result in the degradation of print quality, and eventual failure of the print head. Our cleaning cards are drawn through the printer to remove contamination and maintain performance.

We can produce thermal printer cleaning cards in any dimensions and thickness to suit your equipment. The cards can be supplied either dry or pre-moistened. Examples of thermal printers include ticket printers and EPOS receipt printers.

Plastic Card Printer Cleaning Card

Plastic card printers use a hot foil printing process to reproduce produce imagery on the surface of a plastic card. This process uses heat in the same way as thermal printing, and again the print heads require regular cleaning to maintain adequate performance.

These cleaning cards will also clean the printer drive rollers as well as the print head. Cards are supplied to suit the specifications of your card printer, and are usually supplied pre-moistened.

For certain printers, we produce T shaped cleaning cards. The shape of the card allows it to enter the printer, but then stick in a fixed position, ensuring that the printer drive rollers are cleaned much more effectively than via a standard cleaning card.

Money Validator Cleaning Cards

Monetary validators are used in many types of equipment to allow payment for goods and services. Grease and dirt from notes transfers onto the equipment read heads, causing misreads and eventual equipment failure.

We manufacture cleaning cards to suit the dimensions of the currency being validated. Regular cleaning is essential to ensure accurate and reliable reading.

Chip & Pin Reader Cleaning Cards

Chip and pin card readers combine both a magnetic stripe read head and a chip reading contact set. Both the magnetic read head and the pins need to be cleaned. STandard cleaning cards can be used, however we also manufacture both longer cards and shaped cards to improve cleaning of the chip contact pins.

Despite initial belief that chip & pin readers would be less susceptible to contamination issues, the opposite has proven to be the case, and even more regular cleaning is required to keep the equipment working.

Cleaning Swabs

CCS offer a range of swab products. The Alco-Swab is swab with a polyurethane foam head, containing isopropanol in the body of the swab handle. When the handle is squeezed, the internal seal breaks and the swab is soaked with alcohol. In standard swabs we stock both the wooden stick, cotton bud variety and also the plastic stick, foam swab format. The plastic swab can be supplied individually packed in sachets, dosed with alcohol, and is a cheaper alternative to the Alco-Swab.

All the swabs can be used for cleaning delicate areas within card readers, printers and thermal transfer printers. This includes direct cleaning of print/read heads where the use of a card is impractical.

Air Dusters

When cleaning delicate electronic equipment, the quickest and most efficient way to remove dust and dirt is to use an air duster. Our air dusters are made with dry, ozone friendly propellants, and can be supplied with a range of nozzles & tubes to suit your application. These are offered in 300ml or 400ml units, and come in packs of 12.

Adhesive Cleaning Rollers

Plastic card printers use different systems to help clean the blank card before it is printed. The most common of these is a cartridge containing a rubber roller and a cleaning roller.

These cleaning rollers are made to a specification identical to that of all major OEM's. Suitable for Eltron P420, P520 & P7120; Cimage K300, K400 & K500; Javelin J310, J420, J520 & J720. Regular changing of this roller is essential to maintain printing performance. Come in packs of 5 and are available in our online shop.

All of the items we supply can be provided in kit form, for ease of supply to your customers. We can set a specification or work to your requirements. Own labeling can be used to provide a professional finish.

Microfibre Cleaning Cloths

The microfibres in these high quality cloths trap dust and other contaminants without releasing lint and fibres onto the surface being cleaned. They are excellent for final finishing of equipment surfaces.

Supplied as a quarter folded cloth, measuring 33 x 35cm, in a grip seal bag to prevent contamination, and can be supplied in any quantity.

Disposable Wipes

These inexpensive, but low-linting wipes are ideal for initial cleaning of dirty surfaces within your card reading and printing equipment.

In a roll of 25 sheets, each sheet measuring 13.3 x 20cm, these wipes are packed in a grip seal bag and can be supplied in any quantity.
